Book launch: Capital by John Lanchester – 6pm, today, Firth Hall

John Lanchester will launch the paper-version of his latest offering Capital today at 6pm, Firth Hall, University of Sheffield.

Capital is a post-crash state-of-the nation novel told with compassion and humour.

Mick Moran (Professor of Government, Manchester Business School) and Sue Vice (Professor of English Literature, University of Sheffield) will give their reactions to the book, John Lanchester will then explain how and why he wrote both Whoops! and Capital, and will discuss how the economy and indeed the crisis have moved on since their initial publication.

He will then take questions and be available to sign copies of Capital and Whoops! (which will be available for purchase).

We will be tweeting throughout the event; you can follow the action by searching #LanchesterSPERI. Why not tweet your comments on the book and join in the discussion?
