Extra tickets released for banking seminar today

Due to popular demand, we have released a handful of extra tickets for today’s banking seminar ‘The Banking Crisis and the Future of Banking: Reflections from Three Key Insiders’ , which will take place at 2pm in ICOSS at the University of Sheffield today.

Professor Andrew Hindmoor (University of Sheffield) who will chair the event, will be asking banking experts Sir John Gieve (former Permanent Secretary for the Home Office and former Deputy Governor for Financial Stability at the Bank of England), Johnny Cameron (former Chairman of Global Markets at the Royal Bank of Scotland) and Paul Moore (former Head of Group Regulatory Risk at HBOS) about their own experiences prior to and during the crisis. Amongst other questions, they will also be asked about whether they think the raft of regulatory reform measures which have been agreed at a national, European and international level since 2008, will prove sufficient to resolve the ‘British dilemma’?

The audience will then be given a chance to ask their own questions. If you would like to attend please register here. Alternatively, join the debate on Twitter by using hashtag #bankingSPERI.
