An exciting opportunity has risen for a Policy Research Officer to join the SPERI team and support its research strategy.
SPERI houses a diverse research agenda, including current projects being carried out by its Directors and Research Fellows on UK economic policy, the economic implications of environmental crisis, food security, regional economic development, banking reform and global economic governance. The new Policy Research Officer would be expected to support SPERI researchers in pursuing this agenda, partly by providing applied and/or desk-based research assistance as necessary, but primarily by working to enhance the policy impact and media profile of SPERI’s research outputs.
He or she would also take on a leading role in expanding SPERI’s fundraising capacity, by identifying opportunities for new policy-focused projects (both research and Events|News) and building relationships with relevant funders and other potential partners. He or she would already have professional experience of the public policy and political world, and be comfortable in representing SPERI, both internally within the University of Sheffield and externally to local and national stakeholders.
