New Partnership with the University of Amsterdam’s Programme on Political Economy and Transnational Governance
SPERI and the Department of Politics’ Political Economy Research Group (PERG) have been awarded a Sheffield International Mobility Scheme grant to launch a partnership with the University of Amsterdam’s Programme on Political Economy and Transnational Governance.
Scholars at SPERI/PERG and PETGOV share research interests in global and comparative political economy, especially around corporate and private governance, labour standards and regulation, and finance.
The mobility programme will establish a gateway to facilitate intellectual exchange and research excellence in political economy between members of these two research groups. It will provide scholars with opportunities to discuss working papers and research methods, and to explore possibilities for research collaboration through shared datasets, co-authoring papers, and joint bids for research and PhD student funding.
As part of the mobility scheme, SPERI and PERG will be hosting scholars from the University of Amsterdam’s PETGOV for seminars and lectures during the 2015-2016 academic year. Details will be announced shortly.
