SPERI appoints new Associate Fellows

SPERI is delighted to announce that it has appointed four new Associate Fellows from amongst the academic staff of the University of Sheffield. Each will enjoy their association with SPERI for an initial period of three years from 1 January 2016. They are:

  • Desiree Fields, Lecturer in Geography, with research interests in financial markets, actors and imperatives as elements of contemporary urban change, especially with reference to housing
  • Allister McGregor, Professor of Political Economy, with research interests in the interplay between poverty, vulnerability, power and inequalities
  • Katherine Morton, Professor of Chinese Studies, with research interests in China’s international relations and impact on global governance
  • Kirsty Newsome, Reader in Employment Relations, with research interests in employment negotiation, production and the interplay of global value chains and the labour process
