The conversation will explore Caroline Lucas’ career and current work, the climate emergency, and contemporary UK and international politics.
As the Green Party’s first MP, Caroline Lucas has represented Brighton Pavilion since 2010. She has served as leader of the Green Party twice. She is a campaigner and writer on green politics, localisation, globalisation, trade justice, animal welfare and food.
Caroline is Chair of the All Party Parliamentary Group on Climate Change, Co-Chair of the group on Fuel Poverty, and Vice Chair of Parliamentary Groups on Animal Welfare, Public and Commercial Services and Sustainable Housing. She is also a member of Parliament’s Environmental Audit Committee and co-chair of IPPR’s Environmental Justice Commission.
The conversation with SPERI’s Michael Jacobs will explore Caroline’s career and current work. Audience members will also have the opportunity to put questions to Caroline.
