Forthcoming events

SPERI is committed to holding regular public events in Sheffield, London and other locations in order to promote public engagement with and discussion of critical issues in contemporary political economy.

As such, it organises three regular events: an Annual SPERI lecture delivered by a leading public figure; an annual ‘In Conversation’ evening in which another leading figure talks about political economy with Professor Andrew Gamble of SPERI in front of an audience; and the Prize Lecture delivered in London by the winner of the biennial New Statesman SPERI Prize for Political Economy.

In addition, other meetings, seminars and workshops take place that reflect different parts of SPERI’s ongoing research agenda.
