Christine joined SPERI as a doctoral researcher in September 2017, on an ESRC scholarship. Her research asks whether British politics is experiencing a paradigm shift beyond neoliberalism as an organising framework for economic and social policy, with a particular focus on understanding emerging political and social movements claiming to offer an alternative to neoliberalism.

Christine previously held various roles at the New Economics Foundation, most recently Principal Director of Policy and Government, where she was lead author on the think tank’s Agenda for Change. She has also worked at responsible investment charity ShareAction, where she authored an influential report on institutional investors’ legal duties, and as a parliamentary researcher.
