NEW video: Understanding the political economy of the Weinstein scandal

In the summer of 2018 SPERI launched an innovative new postgraduate research programme to explore the political economy of the Weinstein scandal. Watch our new video about the PREPPE project.

Founded by Dr Liam Stanley, a Research Fellow at SPERI, PREPPE – the Postgraduate Research Experience Programme in Political Economy – offers an opportunity for students on the SPERI-affiliated MA in Global Political Economy in the Department of Politics to participate in a new collaborative research project with SPERI academics, in the context of an on-going commitment to research-led learning.

A team of four students – Sylvie Craig, Remi Edwards, Sophie Wall and Tom Watts – are collaborating with, and being mentored by, three SPERI academics, Liam Stanley, Ellie Gore and Genevieve LeBaron.

The seven researchers are now co-authoring an academic article that will contribute to feminist political economy, approaches to the politics of scandal, and to our understanding of the Weinstein scandal and #MeToo movement
